During late 2016 and early 2017, Faceless Arts delivered a series of Creative Reminiscence sessions with groups in the City, looking at the history of Wood Street and its buildings.

In total Faceless Arts delivered 11 sessions with 8 different groups including residents at Hatfeild Court Independent Living Scheme, Catch A Falling Star: Wakefield Adult Mental Health Support Group, Visitors to the Wakefield Artwalk Event, Wakefield Library Users, Wakefield YOT, Year 5 at St Austin’s Primary School and Wakefield Cathedral’s Craft Group.

Overall, 105 people, aged 9 and upwards, contributed to the paintings during the creative reminiscence sessions, with their participation varying from painting an entire building to contributing to one of the larger silks. Each silk now forms part of the exhibition piece, put together by artist Tony Wade with help from project volunteers.
